Busy HR folk
Published July 27th, 2004 in WorkWell, we lost the big account that accounted for 20% of our income at work. The HR folk are busy hussling people into closed-door conference rooms and giving them their severence checks. Most of the office doesn’t know it’s going on. They won’t tell us what hapenned until later in the day. I’m expecting an email from the President announcing “lets get together this afternoon at the keg.” It’s sad. Some people have been here for so long, some have put a majority of their life into this place. I hope I’m still here by the end of the day. I guess what happens just is.
