I paid $32.01 to fill up my VW Jetta today. I’m not talking a big-honk’n Hummer or Suburban. I’m talking a regular every gay boy on the planet drives one VW JETTA! I only put about 12.5 gallons in the thing!

hybrid_prius.jpg

Maybe my next car should be a hybrid? The Prius is cool, but a little akward looking.

hybrid_civic.jpg

The Civic is neat – and it looks like a real car, but probably a little small for me (same problem with the Jetta).

hybrid_accord.jpg

The Accord is just more money than I want to spend for an Accord.

hybrid_highlander.jpg

The Toyota Highlaner would be awesome, but I’m not ready to drop $40,000 on transportation!

hybrid_escape.jpg

The Ford – um, well … it’s a Ford.

hybrid_passat.jpg

Then there’s diesel – the Passat is offered with a diesel engine, but I’m afraid it’s probably just too slow for my tastes – that and it’s noisy and puffs black smoke out the rear.

hybrid_liberty.jpg

The Jeep Liberty is now offerred with a diesel, but it’s a Liberty, and only women drive them.

What’s a girl to do?

  1. Take a look at the Toyota RAV4, that’s what I have. I got the 5-speed manual cause I love a stick in my right hand.

24 mpg highway, 30 mpg city for the 2005 model

  2. Thanks, Dave – I actually looked at the CRV. It’s got a little more room and a little more oomph – and still a 4 banger. Part of me wants more power than a 4 banger, though… which is sorta why I was looking for a hybrid. What can I say – I’m power-hungry!

  3. My next car will almost certainly be a hybrid. These gas prices are killer for long commutes.

  4. You need a company car/fuel account! This is undoubtedly the cheapest way to go! I have a Dodge Stratus and an Enterprise Fleet Services card!

But the next best option would probably be a hybrid or any 4-cylinder Toyota or Honda!

Motorcycles are cheap on gas too! And totally cool! Lol!

    Cheers!

  5. I want a Mini Cooper… blue… convertable… TOO cool for words!

  6. I drove with 4 other gay homosexuals in a Jeep Liberty Woman’s Edition up to Lake Vermillion last fall, towing a small boat, and it BLEW ASS. Not to mention half of us were ill. Women are the worst drivers, period. The only thing that could have made the experience worse would have been a woman driving, while talking about some inconsequential matter (leg waxing?) on her stupid cell phone.

I concur with Mr Hate Jr’s assessment of the Jeep Liberty Woman’s Edition but would like to add that ALL Jeeps are Woman’s cars. Worrying about gas mileage is truly stupid – if a person is that poor, buy a cheaper car. The difference between a 20 mpg car and a 30 mpg car in terms of annual expense for a 12,000 mile per year driver is 400$. Why anyone would pay 5 to 10K more to get a hybrid or diesel to save 400 per year is hard to understand. Plus small car occupants are much more likely to be killed in an accident. Quit drinking expensive latte’s at Starbucks and you will save the same amount per year. Or worry about how much fuel it takes to heat your house, and then buy a mobile home because it gets better fuel economy. Mr HATE Sr.

  8. What’s a girl to do? Buy a bus pass.

    😉

PS…SUVs are more dangerous than other cars.

The ultimate gay boy car – Miata. Every fag in Denver has one. Except me, I’m too butch. I drive a Jeep Wrangler. Tee Hee!

Such strong feelings people have about hunks of metal. I say buy what makes you happy. Period.

What does this queerest one of all drive? A diesel Liberty and let me tell you I ain’t no woman. It makes 300 ft/lbs of torque and will pull a 5,000 pound trailer.

Yes I have pulled huge trailers with it.
Yes I go off road with it.
Yes I NEVER tailgate so I don’t cream subcompacts.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with what you are driving however. VWs are great!
