Barry Manilow is my Hero

01.17.2006 · Posted in Entertainment

Did anyone else catch Barry Manilow on Leno last night? He sang Unchained Melody from his new album, The Greatest Songs of the 50s. He was spectacular. He’s got a new gig at the Hilton in Vegas. Next time I’m there, I’m going to be front row.

You may think I’m kidding, but I actually do like him! Seriously! Especially the dramatic hand pullbacks he does when hitting the climax.

Perhaps the best part of the show was when he walked off the stage over to be seated next to Jay. The evening’s prior guests were the American Idol judges, so Barry asked them appropriately, “Did I win? Did I win?”

  1. Sorry I missed Leno last night. I too enjoy Barry Manilow. However, my partner does not, so he says if I want to go to a concert, I have to take his sister. I would rather go myself.

  2. I’m sitting on the edge of my chair Dan. Don’t tease me like this.

  4. Alright, alright. I fixed it, you little bastard!

  5. Oooooo a Fanilow.

  6. I’m a Fanilow too!

  7. That’s cool. Reba is also performing at the Hilton in Vegas. I have been thinking about going up there
