That dream even scared ME! I don’t think you are insane, but maybe some part of your life is stuck on repeat and your subconscious is trying to tell you to deal with the problem and not do the quick-fix (i.e. deal with the person, not the faulty lock).

Or, you need to douse yourself with lighter fluid and run naked and aflame throughout your neighborhood, singing “Criminal”.
